 * Hi
 * I have 3.5.7 version.
    When I got a WP notification about the WC new update 3.6.0
   it came with a huge alert (“heads up”) about the potential incompatibility of
   this update to the following plugins that I have:
 * WooCommerce Services
    WP Menu Cart Yoast SEO Mailchimp for WooCommerce
 * As I have never got this sort of alert before in relation to ANY plugin, it raised
   a big red flag for me so I checked the update details and changelog.
    Now the
   red flag changed into panic as the changelog has over 100 items – fixes, improvements,
   changes etc…..which don’t immediately tell me what and how will exactly change
   in my Shop and are scary……it’s like a new plugin!!!
 * I decided to postpone the update – which was a good decision.
    I came to this
   forum to see if there are any issues – and of course, there are. Went back to
   my plugins and saw that the current update is now 3.6.2 with close to 100 fixes…..
 * Have you fixed all the issues with this major update?
 * The only way for me to check is to update the plugin on my staging site and see
   what it does before I do that on my live site.
 * One more question:
    When I update from 3.5.7 directly to 3.6.2 – will those errors
   in the interim updates be avoided?
 * I look forward to your advice.

 * Hey there!
 * We always recommend you back up your live site and test all updates to critical
   software on a staging environment. Read our documentation for more information:
   [https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/)
 * That will help you so much in the long run.
 * As to your specific cases, the notices you see, as well as bugs fixed are normal
   in software development. The vast majority of issues people see are when the
   plugins they are using are not keeping up to date with best standards for WordPress
   and WooCommerce.
 * You are safe to update from the version you are on to the latest version.

 * thanks for your reply.
 * I doubt that Yoast SEO is “not keeping up to date with best standards for Wp
   and WooCommerce”. It is one of the most reliable plugins on the market.
 * Why is WP warning me about your main update being untested with your own other
   three plugins?
 * I have read several posts in this thread about various issues caused by this
   major update. Can you confirm that you have fixed all those issues in the recent
   update 3.6.2?
 * PS I’m looking forward to your reply to my second post Checkout and Downloads
   Issues.
 * thanks
