Recent update made setup slow/buggy — needs a “Skip setup” option

    This plugin used to be great and incredibly quick to set up: install it, paste the keys, choose where hCaptcha should be enabled, done.

    Since the latest update, the setup process is unfortunately buggy and unnecessarily long. You have to click through an onboarding flow explaining everything the plugin can do, which completely breaks the workflow — especially if you’ve set up this plugin dozens or hundreds of times.

    Please add a clear option to skip the setup/onboarding (“Skip setup” / “I already know this”), so experienced users can get straight to the actual configuration again.

    Thanks for the feedback — appreciated.

    Just to clarify: the onboarding wizard is optional and can be stopped at any time. You can exit it immediately and go straight to the settings if you already know the plugin. Please see the screenshot.

    The goal of onboarding is to help new users get started more easily, but it’s not required to use or configure the plugin.

    If an import/export option for hCaptcha settings would be useful for your workflow, feel free to let me know.
