Ok. Thanks for the great plugin. I’ve been using it for a while. A recent update (the last one) broke several things for me.

The original HTML widget for some reason was replaced with the Layout Builder widget. The content of the widget was deleted entirely. I had to delete the new widget and readd the code. Not good. I still don’t know what use it is.

Then when ever I open or create a page in WP, then add the SiteOrigin widgets. Every time I save it, I go back to Text View (not Builder view)… so when I have to click Builder button each and every time. Then if I press Visual, I get garbled text in the window… so I’m not sure what’s wrong.

I have several highly formatted pages, I’m now worried that the troublesome changes would render those pages useless. I love SiteOrigin, but these updates are causing issues.

    Hi kentaiwan98,

    Very sorry for the delay!

That’s odd. We didn’t make any changes to the Custom HTML widget in the latest update so we’re not too sure why this happened – it’s not our widget but it definitely has its use so we wouldn’t disable it. Can you please elaborate on what sort of HTML you previously added to the Custom HTML Widget? This should hopefully give me a better idea as to why this happened.

That sounds like something is preventing Page Builder from loading automatically. Can you please open a page where this happens and then please send me the contents of your console? Please refer to this guide on how to access your browser console.
