# recent posts in sidebar.

 * the only exerience with blogging is using blogspot for my family but on it i 
   think i was able to control the content on the sidebar and limit the number of
   posts visible and the amount of each post i want to show the title of the most
   recent posts on the sidebar and then arcive posts over 30 days old. and this 
   is for a mortuary obituaries posting at [tatemortuary.com/wordpress ](http://www.tatemortuary.com/wordpress)
   
   as it is all posts are visible and no way to navagate them with out browseing
   each one. any pointers would be appreciated

 * To limit the number of posts on the index page, go to your admin dashboard –>
   Settings –> Reading –> Show at most (number of) posts
 * For your most recent posts in the sidebar, there should be a “recent posts” widget,
   if you go to Appearance –> Widgets
