# recent post widget in static content

 * I would like to display the recent post widget (or find a similar solution) in
   a static content area. I’m using a theme that only has sidebar as widget ready.
   So, how can I go about doing this?

 * I checked these out and it looks like the first one you listed will do what I
   want, but after I installed it I can’t find where to manage it. Do you have experience
   with this plugin?

 * Right, that’s where it is. Not where I was looking but I suppose it makes sense.
   This plugin is EXACTLY what I needed.
