Not a single person here knows where this code exists or how to get rid of it?
Patience…
Don’t bump after 3 hours, it just annoys the helpers.
No, nobody knows how to read code from a picture. You didn’t even give a link to the theme’s download page, not to mention your site. And in every decent text editor must be a search function to find what you are looking for.
Yes, I agree with all those points. I’ve done a lot of support for many different clients for many different techs.
Anyone intimately familiar with Wordpad knows the basic structure of the app, and when code renders and where.
The search function does not give me anything applicable (to my knowledge, I don’t know PHP that well) and I feel that the function call for that piece is located in a different spot than the content that it holds — the entire point of a CMS system. Even though WP isn’t really a cms, it is an immensely powerful application with ability and scope for uses other than weblogs.
The reason I didn’t put a link was because the site is not finished and unsecured, permissions are all 777ed out, pretty much, and quite frankly I’m a little ashamed of it. 🙂
The theme I am using is from Cognitive Combine, and can be found on http://CognitiveCombine.com/?p=52
sorry for the impatience, I understand this is done on a volunteer basis. I’m extremely frustrated though. 🙁
Everything is fine except this, and I really am this || close.
thanks,
-Tim
I might be slow today… but couldn’t find a download link on that whole website. Did you download it from there?
I am not interested in his ramblings but the download location 🙂
When I said search I wasn’t referring to WP search. Just the plain old search function in any decent text/html editor to find a string or phrase or word in a doc or in a folder. No special PHP knowledge required.
Since the theme author loves the Hemingway… I bet everything what is below the posts is in the sidebar.php.
OMG it is TOTALLY in sidebar.php!!!
YESSS
Thank you very very very much.
I don’t really remember where I downloaded it from, but I thought it was from wp.org
So, what does Hemmingway have to do with Sidebar? As in, Ernest? :confoosled:
thanks again for the help. I would never have gone to Sidebar.php to look for stuff when I had sidebars completely disabled. Or, thought I had them completely disabled.
Will there be any ill effects if I just leave sidebar.php blank? Should I just comment it out instead?
-Tim
p.s. THANK YOU!
