# Recent Comments Widget Avatar

 * Hi I don’t know if this is in the right place, if not please move to the correct
   place.
 * My problem is, I am using the dynamic sidebar function. I noticed on a few wordpress
   sites, that the recent comments widget has avatars/gravatars.
 * I would like to add them to mine, but i’m not sure how. I have search google 
   and not been very lucky in finding results.
 * Here is the code i’m using for sidebar.php
 * <?php if ( function_exists ( dynamic_sidebar() ) ) : ?>
 *  … regular html …
 *  <?php dynamic_sidebar (); ?>
 *  … regular html …
 *  <?php endif; ?>
 * It would be a real big help, if anyone knows how to do this.

 * The default widgets don’t have Gravatar support. If you don’t want to modify 
   the core, just simply install a plugin.
 * Choose your poison: [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=widget+recent+comments+gravatar](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=widget+recent+comments+gravatar)
 * Make sure the recent comment plugin that you choose supports Gravatar.

 * Thanks Zeo I will give that a try, I’m guessing if I didn’t want a plugin I’d
   have to code the recent comments myself?
