receiving error ‘website declined to show you this page, need to login’

just installed wordpress for the first time. i did the whole installation thing, and received my password to log in. i enter the username and password and click on login, but then i’m brought to an error page that says “website declined to show you this page, must log in”, but i just had logged in.
i have rechecked all my files (config file, etc.) and everything seems fine. all my database info is correct as well.
if i log in with the correct password, then why does it give me this error?
