Recaptcha v3 not blocked
-
Hi,
I am using Recaptcha v3 included in Paid Memberships Pro, but it’s not blocked by Complianz. It appears in the cookies list (the wizard) but it’s alway loaded even if I refuse cookies.
The same thing happened with v2. Unfortunately I cannot use Friendly Captcha.
Is there a way to force the block of the loading?Thank you

did you select in the wizard on the question “do you want to block Google Recaptcha”, “yes”?
If so, the below url should get blocked:
http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js
As this implementation is not included in our integrations list yet, you probably have to add
pmpro_recaptcha_validatedAs script in complianz/integrations, “block a script, iframe or plugin”.
Then give it “google-recaptcha” as name, and set the place holder to “recaptcha”, on the class “g-recaptcha”Let me know if that helps!
Hi Rogier,
Thanks for your reply.
This is what I’ve done, probably it’s not correct or incomplete. How can I add the placeholder as in your indications?

Any news?
Hi @troglos,
With your current Script Center configuration, “pmpro_recaptcha_validated” is not being blocked (it’s only set as the name of your integration).
Could you modify your Script Center integration to the below format?

Just let me know if that works for you!
Kind regards,
JarnoThank you Jarno,
Now it’s getting clearer and it’s kinda working.
reCaptcha v3 is blocked now, BUT when I click on the placeholder or on the Accept button, the reCaptcha still doesn’t load and it shows only after I manually reload the page.
How can I fix this?Thank you again.
Hi @troglos,
Could you attempt this modification to your current Integration in the Script Center? The rest can remain the same, simply add this as an additional URL to block by clicking the “+” icon.

Still nothing.
This is what I have: https://imgur.com/a/3mRMvfd
Console: https://imgur.com/60lDecRAfter I manually reload the page: https://imgur.com/rOQOnHp
(Did I miss something else to block?)Hi @troglos,
I would suggest asking for an integration feature request, https://complianz.io/feature-requests/. It’s hard to help you without knowing the plugin implementation.

Done.
Thank you
Hi @troglos,
It’s working at my end with reCAPTCHA V3. Are you using V2 perhaps?
Or are there other reCAPTCHA instances loaded, other than from Paid Membership?
regards Aert
Yes I am using V3 and that is the only reCaptcha active.
It does not work properly because as already said:
(fresh start, all cookies eliminated, tested dozen of times on FF and Chrome Mac) at first load I get this https://imgur.com/60lDecR and this https://imgur.com/K2It5pm
then, when I click on the placeholder:
the reCaptcha doesn’t appear (still this https://imgur.com/K2It5pm)
I have to MANUALLY RELOAD the page to view it and to see the code in the output like this https://imgur.com/xRyBduU
See the difference between https://imgur.com/K2It5pm and https://imgur.com/xRyBduU ?
Obviously if you are in any other page, accept all cookies AND THEN you go to the registration page it works fine, but if for whatever reason the client starts directly from the registration page s/he cannot complete the process.
Hi @troglos,
I have to compare the working version which I have just set-up. https://rcptcha.us4.instawp.xyz/index.php/membership-account/membership-levels/
and your website. That’s why I asked the previous questions, as it seems to work on a default installation.
regards Aert
Hi Aert,
I can see that in your test site it works fine. Mhhh….
Can you confirm that my setting here are correct? https://imgur.com/a/3mRMvfd
Are these other settings ok? https://imgur.com/a/qmxDqez
Thank you
Hi @troglos,
Maybe disable the script center addition, as I didn’t use any custom script blocking, clear cache, and see if this works.
Let me know, so I can compare them as well.
regards Aert
If I disable it (all cookies deleted):
the placeholder is not loaded at all
reCaptcha is loadedThat is why I opened this thread, and that solution was suggested by @rogierlankhorst
