@norke88 lol right.
@ajtruckle yeah that won’t take a long and someone else would have to support it… not a good solution
I actually ended up using this plugin (nocaptcha-recaptcha) instead and deactivating the recaptcha in cf7. You can add the recaptcha to the contact form using a shortcode, and it uses version 2 recaptcha.
The plugin by bestwebsoft which I mentioned before no longer supports cf7 in the free version, which I didn’t know.
Great. Will try it. What changes to cf7 do I have to do to use it?
Go to the contact form 7 menu -> integration and remove the recaptcha keys from the fields and save it.
Then install the plugin nocaptcha-recaptcha add your recaptcha v2 keys there, and modify the settings to suit. Then in your contact form 7 form, wherever you see the [recaptcha] shortcode, replace it with this shortcode instead: [anr_nocaptcha g-recaptcha-response]
That will get cf7 back working with v2 recaptcha. 🙂
@nix255 Do you know if they plan to support v2 for a long time or will they update and only support v3 too? I can’t work another complete day on that on all my sites just to do it all over again after… :S

reCAPTCHA v2 is not going away! We will continue to fully support and improve security and usability for v2.
@@nix255 thanks for the heads up… I’m assuming this is the plugin you’re referring to?
