• Hello,

I tried to use this plugin and I went to Google’s recaptcha admin console and put in the site and private key but for some reason a few days later, Google complains that my site is not verifying the tokens properly? I’m not sure if I did something wrong here.

I am only using the recaptcha for my Contact Form 7 plugin on the website.

We detected that your site is not verifying reCAPTCHA tokens. Please see our developer site for more information.

Using v3 Recaptcha (see screenshot below)

    Thanks in advance!

Did you add the shortcode to the contact form?

    [anr_nocaptcha g-recaptcha-response]

You can look at the guide here:

    https://www.wpwhitesecurity.com/support/kb/adding-captcha-contact-form-7-forms/

Also, Contact Form 7 has a built in integration for reCaptcha V3. If you are only using reCaptcha for your contact form, just use Contact Form 7’s integration. You don’t need a reCaptcha plugin for it. Go to Contact->Integration, under reCAPTCHA click Setup Integration and input your V3 keys. That’s all you need to do.

    Hello,

Yes, that shortcode is added to the contact form. I mean, the Google Recaptcha admin console seems to receive data from the site so it seems like it might be okay but I just don’t know why I get that message.

And yes, I could just do the direct integration from within the Contact Form 7 plugin though this plugin also offers repcatcha for other areas besides Contact Form 7. I mean I guess I could just use both though anyway… just trying to better understand why the issue is happening.

    Thanks.

    @cats869

If you use the plugin for reCaptcha for other areas, then yes, use this plugin. I use V2 (Invisible) on my Contact Form 7 provided by this plugin and I haven’t experienced any issues. I actually prefer V2 (Invisible) over V3.

    Hi there @cats869

Iv been looking into this and setup a test here which ill leave active and see if I start to see the same messages.

In the meantime, I cant see any issue’s when submitting forms etc here, are you noticing any issues/errors when submitting messages via your form or does everything appear normal for you?

If you’re seeing something out of the ordinary please do the following so I can dig a little deeper

    1) Launch the browser developer tools
    -Chrome: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools
    – Firefox: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools
    2) Click on the Console tab
    3) Reproduce the issue
    4) Send us a screenshot or copy the errors that are reported in the Console tab.

With some luck, ill begin to see the same kind of message appear in my developer tools and can go from there, but any extra info you can provide in the meantime could help.

Kind regards, Daniel @ WP White Security
