    Hello,

I installed Uber reCaptcha and I’m having an issue with it not displaying under the comment form even though I have checked the box for that feature. When readers leave comments, an error pops up that says, “the Captcha cannot be left empty.” Subsequently, the readers’ comments are getting rejected and not coming through for approval. Hopefully this is an easy fix. 🙂

    Hey sagacity,

I’ll issue an update pretty soon to address this issue. Problem is, some themes have removed the hook the plugin needs to be able to be rendered properly. In the mean time, a work around would be to disable the captcha on the comment form.

Keep an eye out for the update, it’s gonna be soon 🙂

    Chris.

    Hi Chris,

I updated Uber and got the same issue when I add reCaptcha to the comments. No reCaptcha display shows up under the comments and when a comment is posted the user gets this:

    CAPTCHA should not be empty.

Avada and WordPress just released an update and both of those have also been updated — none of which changed the results for Uber reCaptcha. 🙁

    Hi Sagacity,

could I get an URL to your website ? FTP would also be really great. The only reason why I see this isn’t working, it’s because Avada is modifying the (default) comments template so I’m probably missing a few hooks.

I’ve tested this plugin on 100+ different sites / themes and never had a problem 🙂

    Hi Chris,

Yes, I’m guessing the issue is connected to Avada’s comment form. The URL is hoboinhighheels.com

I’m apprehensive to give FTP access as that gives full access to my site files. Is there another way? (Not that you would corrupt my files! Just protecting my work.) 🙂

    Hi sagacity,

unfortunately, without FTP I can’t fix this problem. I can’t go out and buy a license to the Avada theme just for testing purposes 🙂

    Thanks,
    Chris.
