reCaptcha not showing on Chrome

    Hello,

    It seems there are more people struggling with this. I investigated quite a lot already, what I found:
    – CF7 form with captcha, NOT showing on Chrome standard view
    – CF7 form with captcha, IS showing on Chrome incognito view
    – CF7 form with captcha, IS showing on Firefox standard view

    It is no plugin issue; disabled them all without success.
    Updated to the latest Chrome 64bit version, no success.

    Error after a minute in chrome console:
    GET https://www.gstatic.com/recaptcha/api2//styles__ltr.css net::ERR_ABORTED 404
    anchor:175 GET https://www.gstatic.com/recaptcha/api2//recaptcha__nl.js 404
    anchor?ar=1&k=6LeLHIcUAAAAAJFK6rLdWOtiqXgWSmmvBcefYX6E&co=aHR0cHM6Ly9sb2dvcGVkaWVncmF2ZS5ubDo0NDM.&hl=nl&v=ghostery&size=normal&cb=i51y0ruau0l0:179 Uncaught ReferenceError: recaptcha is not defined

    Since most people use standard chrome this is a real issue…

    Any thoughts or solutions?

    Whenever I view the website in the latest version Google Chrome, I can see the reCaptcha box just fine in normal mode and in incognito mode. I also do not receive those errors in my javascript console.

    Is it possible that this issue is a caching issue? Could you try a different computer or on a different network?

    Thank you for your response.

    Caching had already been cleared. I have uninstalled chrome, cleared caches, cleared cookies and did a full reinstall. Still not working on this system… only on incognito.

    Tried another system at the same location; all working fine. Tried on several mobile devices, also fine.

    It looks like some weird local issue on this system. Although very strange, good that only this system seems affected; meaning rest of the world will probably (hopefully) be fine.

    Any other thoughts are welcome, thank you for your efforts.

    It certainly sounds localized, we’ve checked here and the reCaptcha displays on multiple browsers on different systems. We’ll mark this thread as resolved for now – should you find the localized issue it would be helpful to know what was causing it!
