Are you using a plugin for this or attempting to manually enter the code?

I don’t know. Documentation says its from Google. Descriptions of Google plugin and WP reCAPTCHA plugin on WP.org are either identical or very similar.
Hey Russell.
The plugin provided from the google code site is outdated, you should get the one James linked to which is newer (latest version as of this writing: 2.9.8.2).
Also, reCAPTCHA was not meant to show up in the front page, but rather, in the individual posts’ pages. That’s most likely why you are experiencing issues.
Take care,
Blaenk
Thanks, Blaenk, downloaded the latest version from the WP site. No change. It’s late, I’ll try again tomorrow.
Right now I’ve put reCAPTCHA after each post and on the Contact page. The challenge table/box is appearing only after the first post on each page. The word, CAPTCHA, appears after the dialog box at the end of the other posts, but if you attempt to comment on a post after the first one on the page, you get this message:
There was a problem with your submission.
Errors have been highlighted below
The error that is highlighted is this:
“The reCAPTCHA wasn’t entered correctly. Go back and try it again.”
I’m thinking of putting only one post on each page. Then the reCAPTCHA form will appear properly for each post. Does that make any sense?
Thanks for your help.
Russ
Seems to be working. I’ll get back to you tomorrow. Russ
