I’m curious why the recaptcha/api.js is being loaded on posts, pages and product pages?

In both GTmetrix and DevTools the api shouws up:

    https://snag.gy/nNriJW.jpg on a regular page
    https://snag.gy/XMYNHc.jpg on a product page

Is it safe to disenqueue it, or is there a meaning to this?

    Thank you for your time,

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

Login forms that post against wp-login.php can appear in many places, including as a sidebar that would affect all pages. Because the reCaptcha won’t render properly without the api javascript, it is therefore enqueued everywhere.

If you don’t have login forms other than the default admin one and know what you are doing, it may be safe to dequeue it. I can’t guarantee it will work out, though, so do be sure to be prepared to manually disable the plugin or take other measures if you get locked out.

    Good luck!

    Best,
    Robert
