Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Recalculate Tax not working on order admin page

  • Resolved jackofallspades

I have a customer who wanted to add an item to his order. I went to his order, went to add item, and then add product. Entered the product and hit add. It appeared although it did not have tax. It doesn’t matter what item I put here, no tax ever comes up. Then I go to add item, add tax, and because tax was already in there for the other items in the old order, it says I cannot add the same tax twice. Then it proceeds to DELETE the tax that was already charged to the customer. There is nothing I can do at this point – I can’t get the tax back no matter what I have tried, and I cannot get this new product to add the tax.

On all order put through the system on the website, tax is always calculated correctly, it is just on the order admin page that it messes up.

Please help! I need to know how to edit orders with the right tax showing after it is marked completed!

  • Change Country code, state code, postal code, and city to asterisks (*) and then try it.

You mean replace them with *?

    Or add *beside them?

Replace, so it looks like mine

Sorry – didn’t notice that from your screenshot. I think its working. I am going to play with it for a few mins to make sure, before you close ticket. Thank you!

So the tax is working – but now when I edit something in the orders, it removes the coupon code.

In my test order, I had two products, and it took 10% off of both of them because of the coupon code entered. When I edited them, and saved it, it did not take the coupon code into consideration and deleted it.

What can I do about that?

@jackofallspades Did the new issue with the coupon happen more than once or just in that single instance? If you are able to replicate this still, please open a new thread about it since it is a new issue.

I am not sure if it is still happening as that predicament hasn’t came about since. If it does, I will start a new thread.
