• I have worked with WordPress as a developer for years. Visual Composer is a pain to work with and is a bloated project, but graphic designers love it. Gutenberg tries to integrate a Visual Composer-like experience into WordPress Core, but fails to properly do so.

Working with Gutenberg takes a while to learn. Icons disappear when you hover over them, boxes overlap, columns don’t work as expected, et cetera.
As a plugin developer, it takes even more time. Things changed so much with each version that documentation/tutorials are often outdated.

In short, Gutenberg is probably a good idea, but hard to get used to.
