  • I’m really struggling with titles at the moment and would appreciate some help. I’ve already followed the FAQ advice and have replaced previous code with “<title><?php wp_title(”); ?></title>”. I have also checked and unchecked force rewrite titles to no effect.

I just want my titles to be uniform and according to my indexing they should be, but on Google they’re not!

For example, under ‘Pages’ I have “%%title%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%”. For this ( article, on Google I’m getting “Introducing: GHXST » DrunkenWerewolf”. This is the format I want to use for all posts. However, for this ( article, on Google I’m getting “Introducing: Kill Moon – – Drunken Werewolf”. I’m using the same index so I don’t understand why the titles are different?!

I’m having another problem with pages, which are indexed “%%title%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%” also. Google finally updated on Friday and this ( page now appears as “MAGAZINE » DrunkenWerewolf”. I used this title over a month ago and updated to “Bristol Music Magazine » DrunkenWerewolf” on Thursday. Why did Google pick up an old title? Why not bypass to the current title?

Like I say, I just want my titles to be uniform. It’s really frustrating that this plugin doesn’t seem to be able to perform the simplest function since its last update…
