Really easy to use but lacking on shipping options

This plugin works very nice, its easy to set up and doesn’t kill the site with overhead. The shopping cart pops up where ever you want it to with the use of shortcodes. I sell artwork, which are low volume high price items. The cost of shipping is complex due to the flat box and fragile contents. It would be nice to have better shipping options without needing to set up complex product definitions. I was able to replace WooCommerce with this plugin and create a streamlined purchase experience. Simplicity is the key with this plugin.

With an enhanced shipping capability this would get five stars *****.

At a bare minimum I should be able to use Base Cost (packing amount) + Percent of Price (shipping based on size/weight) [or] for ease of implementation, set up Base (Handling) Cost, Per Item (Packing) Cost, and Percent of Purchase on the settings page to offer flexibility in shipping cost calculation without having to specify on every button in the shortcode.

For example add the following settings:

[x] Add Handling Cost per item to Shipping: $5.00
[x] Add Packing Cost per order to Shipping: $25.00
[x] Add Freight as Percent of Purchase Cost to Shipping: 5%
[x] Ignore above amounts if shipping amount is specified in shortcode

For simple override of shipping calculations using above options, if shipping was not specified in the shortcode, the shipping would be calculated using the above checked options. For price=1000 the shipping would be $80 = 5 + 25 + 50

if shipping=”40″ was specified in the shortcode the total shipping cost would be $40.

By unchecking the 4th item in settings above and setting shipping=”40″ in the shortcode, the total shipping cost would be $120 = 40 + 5 + 25 + 50. This option would allow for upcharging shipping on large or fragile items.

This simple addition to the settings page would offer a huge improvement to the shipping capability.

It would also be desirable to offer flat amount coupons rather than percent off and free ship coupons.
