• I downloaded the free extension. Once you install it, you can do a backup, but you can only download the backup file. If you want to put it on a cloud storage service like Dropbox, you need to buy an extension, all right up here.

The problem comes when you want to upload the backup to the new site and the file size is above 20MB. You can’t, so they link you to a version called “Unlimited”. If you choose PayPal as payment method, you can’t see the final price until you’ve confirmed the purchase. 69$ dollars. And the surprise is that the “Unlimited” version only removes the 20MB limit, but no more features.

Information about this is very poor and they does not admit refund to change the plugin for the one you need. Really bad support and self fraudulent info to buy a teoretically “unlimited” version that is not really unlimited.

EDIT: A few months later, after a PayPal dispute where PayPal decide to support them (allright here, it’s a PayPal decision), they have disabled my license and I’m not receiving any response from their support e-mail. They have my money and I don’t have my license. This is a S-C-A-M.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with our support. Could you please tell us what we did bad and how we can improve our service?

I do not understand the PayPal issue. To initiate a purchase, every user must click on a button that says Buy it now $99
I do not know how you could have missed it.
Also, PayPal checkout flow asks you for source of payment and how much you will be charged.

Once a product has been downloaded and installed, it is not refundable. Our refund policy is really simple but if you know a way to improve it, please let me know.

@kinematix I’ve archived your reply with the video.

Your initial post is a review. It’s almost a request for support but it’s more of a review. That’s why I’m leaving it in place.

This site is not where you can resolve or even discuss the purchasing of the paid plugin or anything related to that. The author cannot have that conversation here; they’re not allowed to. That’s not just them, no one can have that conversation here. When that’s found those topics get closed with a reply.

As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

To resolve that issue you have, contact the author on their site directly. Just not on this site. That’s not allowed.

@jdembowski I’m agree. This is not the place to do a support request, sorry.

    Best.

And just as a cherry on top, free version allows backups/restores up to 512mb, lol. If your site says 20, it’s the php.ini max_file_size on your server, not the plugin ))

@zatrix my first problem was related to the purchase itself. As EU user, I was comparing some plugins that do the same, many of them in Dollars, so I was trying to get the final price of each one in Euros.

I went to your page and started simulating the purchase of the “Unlimited Version” (69$) to get the final price with the exchange rates and the possible rates that the seller could apply. The problem is that there is a fraud there: once you start the purchase with your PayPal credentials, there is no information about the amount you are going to pay, and PayPal always show it at the top. But it is also in the second step clearly indicates “You can see a summary of your order before making the purchase” followed by a “Continue” button, that is, if you click there, it is assumed that you can review the final price and then, confirm the purchase, otherwise, they can show a price on your website and charge you another very different figure using this method. However, as soon as you press that “Continue” button there is no such order summary… they directly process the payment and there is no going back, because they do not return the money. So they have made a payment without a tacit consent of the same.

Related to the plugin itself, it’s still a fraud for a non-tech user who does not know anything about htaccess or PHP configs. You can download the plugin for free and there is no info about the size limit. You can do a backup and once you want to restore it, you will se a message like “Max filesize upload: 8MB”, followed by two links: “How to increase the maximum file upload size” or “GET UNLIMITED”. If you click in the first one, you will be linked to a page that indicates 4 ways to increase this limit: htaccess, wp-config.php, contact host provider or Use plugin. If you click in the last one, you are redirected to a landing where you can find 2 versions: Basic and Premium. Basic is for sited under 512MB and Unlimited is just that, Unlimited. So a non-technical user will probably opt for an Unlimited version, since nowhere it indicates that, despite being “unlimited”, it requires modifying the htaccess or the php-config.ini, because the limit is still set by the server. And remember, theoretically this was the 4 option to eliminate that limit. So that, in my opinion, is a hoax.

    Care about them!

A few months after my purchase experience, I found they have disabled my purchased license, but they have not returned my money.

I have written an e-mail to their support email to ask about deactivation, understanding that it has been an error and I have not received any response. It is clearly a fraud and I will put it in the hands of my lawyer in the next few hours.
