• One of the biggest gripes I get from my visitors is the inability to be notified of new comments or replies to comments they leave. Especially since I don’t require users to log in to leave a comment. That problem has been solved with this ingenious plugin. Does everything it says and more (if you pay that is). The free version will suit most people’s needs but if you want even more power, get the Pro version.

Either way, be sure to make a donation to the developer to keep fine plugins like this being developed. If I had to add any feature, it would be a way for visitors to flag an inappropriate comment or spam, and then to get notified by email. There are plugins that do this but most don’t work with third-party plugins. This worked with a YooTheme template I have installed, and they are notoriously difficult to customize because of the Warp core they use.

Comment mail had zero issues. I did have to change the font size on forms as the drop-down menus to choose delivery methods was too big when viewed on Firefox (so you couldn’t see them clearly). Once I made that CSS change to the font size, it ran without a hitch. Best of all, my visitors are back to being happy as they now get notified of new comments or replies to their comments! Woo hoo!

@tneveu Thanks so much for the great review! 🙂

That sounds like a nice feature. I’m not sure if it’s too far outside the scope of Comment Mail, but I did a few quick searches and couldn’t find anything like that. I’ll discuss the idea with my team and see if we can’t start working on something like that!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll make a note to test the Comment Mail subscription form in Firefox again to see if there’s something we can do to tweak this for a better default.

Oh hey did you add that report feature to comments?

@master412160 I’m afraid not, no. We do have the idea in our queue for new plugins to build though.
