# Real Cron UpDraftPlus

 * Any info would be helpful. Before I add the following into my wp-config.php and
   create a “real cron job” (every thirty minutes, recommended by Siteground) I 
   wanted to make sure UDPlus would still work (I do all backups manually) ….
 * define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);
 * Do I “get the green light” to proceed disabling wp cron and creating a real cron
   job with no UpDraftPlus issiues?

 * I’m afraid if define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true); is added to wp-config.php file
   it will stop Scheduled backups to work.

 * Okay manual backups should still work, If you are planning for schedules backups
   having WP CRON disabled, scheduled backups may not work.
