• When I visit the Reader page for the blogs I follow, at the bottom of each one are 3 links – “reblog” “comment” and “like”. My blog, which is self-hosted and also appears in the Reader, does not have those links. Does anyone know why?
My blog is http://richgreenphotography.com/blog/. If you find it in the Reader, you will see what I mean. The “links, comments, etc.” are visible on the actual blog page, but not the Reader page.
    Thank you in advance.
    Rich

  • Sorry – what reader? If you are referring to a list of sites on wordpress.com, then it will only available for wordpress.com sits – not self-hosted WP sites.

    Thank you for responding.
At the top of the page – wordpress.com/my-stats – in the upper lefthand corner next to the W (wordpress logo) is “Reader”. This takes me to the page where all the blogs I follow are located. Whenever I want to “follow” a new blog, WordPress tells me that it will appear in the “Reader. Only 2 of the blogs I follow come via email. The rest are found in the “Reader”. And the “Reader” shows both the “free” and “self-hosted” sites. And, as I previously stated, my blog, which appears in the Reader, is the only one without “reblog” “comment” and “like” at the bottom of the entry.

That reader is for wordpress.com sites only.

I understand, but my question was why the blogs I follow, both the free and self-hosted ones have the “reblog” “comment” and “like” links at the bottom and mine doesn’t. My blog is self-hosted but there are several others that I follow and they have the links. Mine is the only one that doesn’t. Am I asking this question in the wrong forum?

Yes, you are. You should really be asking on http://en.forums.wordpress.com/ but, as far as I am aware, that list is for wp.com sites only.

    Appreciate the heads up. Thanks.
I made the wrong assumption that since my site was self hosted, my question belonged here.
