'read more' tags showing up incorrectly in iPad and iPhone

    I have searched on topics but haven’t found anything that helps.
    My ‘read more’ tags show up perfectly on safari browser, but not on iPad or iPhone.
    instead of showing as ‘Continue reading’ the tags show up as
    (arrow) ‘1):”class=”more-link”>Continue reading…

    I disables the Advanced Excerpts plug-in – which could have caused the problem.
