  • Hi @sandro Franchi,
    Does it happen when you add a ‘Read More’ tag, or when it’s being produced automatically by the theme?

    Hi @boaz, in my case when I add it manually. The theme doesn’t add it, if not present it shows the whole article.

    @sfranchi,
    What theme do you use?

    Try to activate from settings->reading select “summary”

    @boaz, @Yehudaz it works perfectly with all the other posts, it just fails in the only one made with elementor. The theme is a child based on responsive_mobile and “summary” was selected from some years in a row, it fails just in the only post made with elementor. It works just perfectly for both of you? Have you checked the links I’ve sent?

    In the problematic post I’ve a text editor block which is divided by a “read more” and then some graphics, nothing else.

    Please take a look to the links I’ve posted in my first post of this thread. A break (“Read more”, “Leer más” as in the others posts) should be created after the second paragraph of the post titled “Concurso Epson…” and it doesn’t happens, simple.

    I can send you a screenshot of the editor if you like, just can’t upload it here.

    Thanks to both,

    @sfranchi,
    If you could send us screenshots of your editor it will be most helpful.
    (You can do it via a platform like imgur).

    Thanks Boaz, there it is

    Hi to all,
    i would like to contribute to this topic telling that Elementor is great plugin to build straight forward a wp site with some fashion. Thank You guys to made it.
    i also have the same problem as Sandro Franchi.
    I’m currently using WordPress 4.6 with Gateway theme and elementor version 0.7.4.
    I try to
    – activate from settings->reading select “summary”
    – add this tag <!–more–> like html or shortcode
    but all the above didnt work.
    The “read more” works only if you create an article with the wp default editor.

    Regard Tinex

    Thank you guys for pointing out this issue.
    It has been reported by other users in our Github project page.
    You may follow updates on that, in this thread:

    Thanks @pojosh, I hope a fix for this soon. To break standard features as this one is not “reasonable”…

    If you did not solve this problem install -auto excerpt everywhere- plugin in wordpress and that will help you.

    Is there any solution to use read more, with elementor?

    Hi,
    I am using Anissa theme.
    Read more tag doesn’t work. The entire text is shown in the site preview. Some other functions are not working for instance the “format tab” is not there in the side bar
