# “read more” missing after update

 * Hello! After updating to the latest version of this plugin, the “read more” text
   is missing. When I inspect the page, it looks like the div that is supposed to
   contain the text and the link are still there, but the div is empty, the actual
   text “read more” is missing… it’s happening on two different sites, both of which
   are on the same wordpress multisite installation:

 * We have removed default read more text to avoid conflict with old layout editor,
   please set your own read more text under layout editor. please follow the screenshot

 * ah ok, thanks for that, makes sense. Unfortunately I don’t have the option to
   edit the layouts in my dashboard? Is there some other setting I need to update

 * Yes I actually tried exactly that before I responded, but I also don’t have the
   option to edit the text there either. see screenshot: [https://imgur.com/a/xC4Henh](https://imgur.com/a/xC4Henh)
 * It seems like if I was able to update to new layouts, both issues would be solved,
   but I can’t find anywhere to do that in my dashboard? Any thoughts?

 * I understand the issue, please remove existing read more and add it again, you
   will see the read more input fields.
    I recommend you to use new layout editor,
   please watch this video
