Support » Themes and Templates » Read more link going awry

  • The “read more” and “continue reading” links on my home page are now all going to a post that is unrelated. Where do I change the code to get them to link to each related post? Why would this get messed up if I didn’t fool with it in the first place?

Please reply in very basic instructions. I am NOT html savvy.

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Good point. My apologies. See my home page at:

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Thanks! The deactivating and reactivating worked, but I never found one plugin that caused a problem.
