• I am new to WordPress and have recently been thrown into managing a couple of sites. I have been trying my best to figure out this issue, but to no avail.

Every time that I create a new post in WP and add it to the News page of my website it creates two “Read More” buttons underneath the description of the article.
Here is the link to the page: http://www.edclawrence.com/about-us/news-events/

I have a feeling that if i were more familiar with WP this wouldn’t be a hard solution.

Please let me know what steps I can take to fix this issue.

    Mike

try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited WP default default Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Thank you very much Tara. I’m not sure what exactly the issue was but I cleared the cache of my browser and survey and something in that process fixed it.

    Glad to know that 🙂

    My mistake,

I thought that the issue was resolved but it turns out that this problem only occurs when I copy and paste text into the post. When I am typing original content into a post there is no issue.

    Any other ideas?
