# Read More Button and Posts, Comments, Meta

 * As in the previous post, ([http://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-more-buttons-and-post-template?replies=2](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-more-buttons-and-post-template?replies=2))
   I too would like to remove the “Read More” button and the Recent Posts, Recent
   Comments and Meta from the bottom. However, I am worried that making the changes
   that are described above will be lost with a plugin update. Would that be the
   case? Is there an alternative to avoid that happening?

 * You will still be able to update the plugin, as the changes you’ve described 
   should be made to the files, which are located in the theme folder (path wp-content/
   themes/your_theme_name). Therefore, updating the plugin will not affect these
   changes whatsoever.
