On the pages of my website (www.theiphoneinsight.com ) I want a Read More “button” after every snippet of a blog post instead of the default ” […] ”

Could anyone tell me how to do that… provide me with a code or something. Would be grateful.

P.S – I am using a child theme based on iconic-one

Copy the content.php file from the parent to the child theme’s directory. Edit this file and replace

the_excerpt()

with

the_content('Read More')

on line 55.

Did not work mate. Changed the code from –

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

to

<?php the_content(‘Read More’); ?>

After changing the.. The excerpts were gone and the full posts were visible on the blog.

I need a Read more “button” – refer http://www.idownloadblog.com not just the text.

After doing this edit you have to place the “more quick tag” in your post for the “Read More” link to appear.
