Here is a link to a screenshot showing what I am describing. The left is using a custom excerpt, and the right is using a default one.

Hi.
I am including a “fix” for this in the next release … thank you for pointing it out to me.
I shall probably leave the “Continue reading” link enabled by default for backwards compatibility (in case anyone relies on it), but allow it to be turned off either globally from the settings or by specifying a parameter.
Hopefully I should be able to roll up a new version by the end of the week.

Hi … just a quick update to let you know I haven’t forgotten this request.
I’ve been busy on other projects, but have been working on various enhancements for the plugin as time allows. These are nearly all fully tested and ready to roll-up into a release … so hopefully I’ll be able to get this done in the next few days.
OK, I have released the new version … add hide_wp_more="true"
to remove the standard WordPress “Continue reading…” message from the excerpts.
As I have not heard back, I am assuming that this problem is now resolved … please let me know if you are still having difficulties.
Yes, thank you for following up. We continue to use your plugin on the site in question, and others we have developed since then. Thank you!
