I just noticed a lot of problems after upgrading to 3.0. It just goes to show me that I need to start looking at my site more often!

Problem 1: All of my posts that use the more anchor link all point to a 404. Surprisingly, before I deleted my main site’s 404 pages, they were pointing to one of my add-on domain’s 404s!!!! Have no idea how that happened. I checked all my .htaccess files and nothing is out of the ordinary. I reset my Permalinks to default and then back – still nothing. The main blog title link works, but not the anchor links.

Problem 2: All my uploaded pictures show as alternate text – if at all. Although the pictures are still in the uploaded folder and show in my media gallery, they do not show in posts/pages. I have tried re-uploading and adding them to the posts and still nothing. This is of course only after upgrading to 3.0….

I have repaired and optimized all tables in my wp installation in phpmyadmin and nothing.

Any help or suggestions would save my life and lower my blood pressure! 🙂

Just realized after talking with my Hosting company that the 404 errors are capitalizing the “P” in my “WordPress” directory ONLY when using the more link. Anyone else have this issue. Is there an easy way in WP 3.0 to rename the directory without causing too many issues?

(Is there a way to see why this get_content link is changing my directory?)

I wouldn’t mind renaming it to blog (both the folder and settings name) I just want to make sure it won’t screw the installation up. The 3.0 versions seems to have specifics when “moving” internally on site. Although in this case nothing is moving except the nomenclature of the folder and directory setting in WP.

New update fixed both items of attention.
