If the issue/problem has to do with your website/folder structure please post the exact specific details about your website’s folder structure.

Example: I have a site installed here (/subfolder-name) and it is site type (HTML, WordPress, etc). I do X and then Y happens.

If the issue/problem has to do with adding custom .htaccess code or creating custom rewriterules then post the exact code that you are using and where you are using it.

The rewrite rules I am using are [post the rewrite rule] for the site X located in folder Y. I am putting my custom code her [exactly where the code is being added – the root .htaccess file – the wp-admin htaccess file – some other file – adding the code to Custom Code].

BulletProof Security Plugin Conflict or Some Functionality On Your Website Is Not Working Correctly

If you think that BulletProof Security is causing a plugin conflict or any other issue on your website that is causing something not to work, then please use these steps below to take BulletProof Security out of the equation completely for testing. There is no need to deactivate BulletProof Security because it has a built-in Default Mode that allows you to put WordPress in a default state without deactivating BulletProof Security. If you find that BulletProof Security does have a conflict with another plugin then please check the BulletProof Security Plugin Compatibility Issues – Testing and Fixes Page to see if a fix (bypass/skip rule) is already listed. If your plugin is not listed and you have confirmed that BulletProof Security is definitely causing a conflict then please post a comment in this Forum.

1. Make a backup of your .htaccess files using BulletProof Security built-in Backup.
2. Activate Default Mode on the Security Modes page.
3. Use the Delete wp-admin .htaccess feature on the Security Modes page.
4. Test your plugin or theme.
5. Restore your .htaccess files using BulletProof Security built-in Restore.

I am a non technical person (Advocate) and working on http://www.legal-path.com. I installed BulletProof Security plug-in and did not understand about the .htaccess file. I am not able to get into Dashboard of my site since then.

Please tell me a method by which I should be able to un-install your plugin through cpanel/ftp or filezilla Or by some other method ? Please help me to bypass your plugin.

The plug-in was giving a message that .htaccess file is not available in wp-admin folder. I copied this file from the root directory to this folder but still the problem exist.

Kindly send me the file to be made for uploading in wp-admin folder and root directory, to that I could use your plug-in. I donot know coding etc. and understand it. Kindly help by sending the resolution at raminder.sahota@gmail.com and at this forum

Hello Sir, I have deleted the .htaccess file from wp-admin folder and from root directory

Ok then you should be able to log back into your WordPress Dashboard now. If you still cannot log back into your WordPress Dashboard then this problem is not related to BPS. Since your Web Host is Go Daddy you will need to log into your Host Control panel, use the FTP File Manager and restore your website files back to a time when your site was working fine.

Sir, I am in contact with godaddy for the last 3 days and trying with other website developers also for the last 3 days. After login of id and password to go to Dashboard, without giving any error and leads to same page at this url http://legal-path.com/wp-login.php

all says something wrong with the plug-in.

Could U kindly get it deleted from site through ftp ?

All of my websites are hosted on Go Daddy. BPS and BPS Pro are installed on all my websites on Go Daddy. BPS works fine on Go Daddy and 1,000’s of web hosts worldwide – nothing is wrong with the BPS plugin. I am not sure what mistake you are making, but the problem is not BPS. You are making some kind of mistake/user error.

Go Daddy will restore your website for you when you call them and ask them to do that for you. Please call Go Daddy and ask them to restore your website.
