  • I installed your Inactive Logout plugin and had several issues. The most troubling one is that even though one of my users, say “mysubscriber”, is logged out everywhere, I keep getting a notification that “Your session has timed out.” No matter what I try, this keeps happening. I have tried logging back in and logging out from several different logout areas. This user is not logged in on any other devices because I have only been using this as a test account.

    After exhausing all attempts to stop this from happening, I deleted the user account, and disabled the plugin. I continued to experience the same issues, even with a deleted account! So then I completely deleted the plugin, AND IT IS STILL HAPPENING!!

    The plugin has apparently left some hooks in my WordPress installation that won’t go away, and it keeps alerting me about an account that has been deleted, even when your plugin has also been deleted! This is really a mess.

    How can I fix this?

    Hello there,

    Your problem seems a bit odd. After deactivating the plugin it does not effect any core components as plugin does not install any scripts into WP core files nor your theme files. So, your problem is likely from some other script rather than the inactive logout problem. Please open up a new ticket if you want to follow up on this response.
