I have a website that can be read by anyone, but I want update capability restricted to specific users by category. I had the restriction part working fine. But when a website viewer clicks on post links, a ‘redirect’ is invoked and the link fails – the user never gets to go to the link to read the content.

I tried finding documentation on how to set up a dummy/default user who has read access to all areas available on website and couldn’t find. The Action choices of redirect and Tease are probably the key, but I don’t want a ‘Tease’, I want full reading capability.

    Help

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thank you for reporting this.

Could you explain in more detail what you mean when you say that the redirect link fails? Does the user see a white screen?

If you want all logged in users (and nobody else, except admins) to be able to see posts in a specific category, use these Level settings:
    Conditions: Category x, y, z
Sync with User Role: Logged-in Users
Redirect: Login (or other page you want unauthorized users to be redirected to)

Let me know if this helps!
