re-stalling trouble

I’m having a plethora of issues.

I backed up my site, http://www.moonstruckorganics.com/blog before upgrading. Then, i though to myself, “I want the landing page to be http://www.moonstruckorganics.com– lets loose the /blog” So I reinstalled WP, and moonstruckorganics.com now has a new, blank WP site installed. I also delated the old WP directories.

I went into my CPanel.PHPMyAdmin>directories, and uploaded the backed-up version of the site (www…/blog) when I do this, the theme does not show up, but the content is there. None of the links work. Nor can I enter the back end. It also keeps asking me to upgrade the P version, which I have now done about 7 times.

This is now so convoluted that I am just wondering how can I start over, possibly without loosing all the custom CSS I did on the old site. suggestions?
