    It seems, that if I want to place a page under the main slug for events, commonly
    /events/
    then after creation I need to re-save the wordpress permalinks.
    Now that I know that, I know what todo, but what is the beackground of not doing this task whenever a page is added beneath a “magical” slug for events?
    Other users may create pages and they do not have access to that permalink settings. Until the plugin does not itself recommit permalinks action, I would recomment to disable the create page in the the edit bar within the events section, so this use case does not even occur for non-admions.

    For the admin, a hint would be useful.

    Thanks for keeping this tool wonderful!

  • Hiya,

    You shouldn’t have to re-save permalinks every time like that. That fact that you do suggests something is wrong elsewhere with your site.

    The most likely cause is another plugin or theme so your best option is to do some testing by;
    1. Disabling all other plugins and reverting to the default theme
    2. Creating a new page as a child of the Events page.
    3. Testing to see if the page works without saving permalinks.

    If it does work (i.e. you don’t have to re-save permalinks) then do the following;
    1. Re-activate your theme and create a page again
    2. Re-activate each plugin, one-by-one, creating a new page each time to test for the need to save permalinks

    At some point it will break and the last plugin/theme you activated will be the cause.

    Thanks
