RE: Problems

Hi All

I having been working on issues for the last few days, in the end i think it was an install problem so i deleted everything and done a new install.

it is working a little better since the new install in the way it will load templates now without getting a blank screen on the main website URL, or

Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Today i done a lot of work on this website to be faced with a problem with the URL.

what the problem is if i type in http://toosmooth.co.uk/wordpress the site works fine.

when i change the URL to http://toosmooth.co.uk i get

Forbidden

now i read a lot of posts etc and tried everything i found on how to fix this i gone as far as changing this in the database, which still does not work so i have to change it back to have the wordpress at the end of the url which i dont want to have.

even if i change the URL to http://toosmooth.co.uk which does not work if i then put wordpress after it i get back to the website. so its like it not changing the URL at all, but i know it has as i edited it from the datebase it’s self.

any help would be really great.
