Re-post when changing post’s featured image

    Hi, even if the option to send to telegram has been enabled only for new posts and NOT for post updates, we noticed that, if we change the features image of an old post and update it, the post gets sent to telegram again… is it a limitation/behavior of wordpress’s events you listen to, or a bug on your end?

    Hi,
    It all depends upon what Send to Telegram option on Post Edit page is set to. It overrides the settings that you have saved. If you don’t want a post to be sent to Telegram when it’s updated, make sure that Send to Telegram option is unchecked or set to No.

    In the global settings
    – A new post is published was ON
    – An existing post is updated was OFF
    the option to show overrides for options in each post was OFF…. I was expecting it to use the defaults above in that case.

    Look for Send to Telegram not Override settings option. It should be either beside Publish/Update button or below the content editor.

    Ok, thanks, I guess I was expecting he default option to be honored, but we can handle it this way.
