 * I have been told by iPage that my WordPress files have been compromised, and
   that I should delete them and re-install them from backup.
 * Huh? I don’t need a backup, since I have got them from wordpress.
 * So if I delete all the wordpress files (but leave the database untouched) how
   do I re-install all the files from WordPress.
 * Thanks.

 * Hi 🙂
 * You can go for Manual Update.
    [http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update](http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update)
 * Download the DB backup before you upgrade the wordpress. Rest everything is mentioned
   in above link.

 * Just add you database credentials to config file, and make sure you have all
   the plugins as well as your theme in new wordpress folder. but first try to fix
   your current files, only a file or two may be ifected
