 * I have two blogs. One is up and running the other I am having problems with.
   They emerged when I tried to change the theme at dashdashdash.com. I went through
   the codex and help and am certain I did it correctly but I can’t call up the
   new themes in dashboard – presentation. Only the defaults appear.
    I then looked
   at the server side of things and discovered my successful (ie working blog) has
   three folders at the top level; fefihohum.com, logs and Maildir plus 4 documents.
   My unsuccessful blog dashdashdash.com starts with six folders(wp-includes,wp-
   images,wp-content, wp-admin, htdocs,cgi bin and a license text). I suspect the
   unsuccessful blog should mirror the successful one. My question then is this;
   can I simply make a new folder within Fetch(my ftp vehicle) and name it dashdashdash.
   com and then transfer everything over, creating a new top level, or would I be
   better off doing a completely new re-install? I don’t want to break anything.

 * Based on this thread: [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/42014](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/42014)
 * If you have two domains why not put your first blog in a [http://www.domain1.com/wp](http://www.domain1.com/wp)
   directory
 * and your second blog in the [http://www.domain2.com/wp](http://www.domain2.com/wp)
   directory.
 * See this:
    [http://wordpress.org/docs/installation/different-address/](http://wordpress.org/docs/installation/different-address/)
 * you would put wordpress files in

 * Shouldn’t all your files destined for web be in the “htdocs” directory?

 * The sites are with two different hosts ( for comparism purposes). They’ll probably
   end up on the same host but not just yet. So my problem remains. Moshu, hi ….
   was that a rhetorical question? I hope so 🙂
    You tell me …what’s the best way
   to resolve this and get my blog working properly. How should the whole tree look
   in ideal; circumstances…?
 * thansk and sorry for being a bit newby about this.

 * Based on this:
    _six folders(wp-includes,wp-images,wp-content, wp-admin, htdocs,
   cgi bin and a license text)_ I’d say you’ve installed WP in the wrong place.
   Put everything in the “htdocs” folder.

 * Moshu… you’re a star. Everything now works. Thanks to Michael H too.
