re- error for browserconfig.xml (4 posts)

    hi

    I am getting 404 for browserconfig.xml I am assuming this is something which should be in sitemaps ? I have not heard of this xml file before so would welcome any advice etc

    No, this has nothing to do with SEO or WP SEO. Did you even google it ?

    Windows 8 Internet Explorer looks for this file
    Just upload a blank file called browserconfig.xml to the site root directory to stop the 404 errors getting logged

    Or, if you prefer, instead of just getting rid of the error, you can let WordPress feed Windows 8 users with nice, pinned images (which will update with the RSS from your blog) using this plugin:

    This is what browserconfig.xml is used for.
