    Hello

I am using your plugin and I see its really great for reducing file sizes.
Our client has an online store with hundreds of products and we already optimized most of the images that go along the products. However, we sometimes find images that need re-work (brightness, small bugs, etc.) and we need to replace them in the media library.

When we add new media to the library, your plugin finds the new images and optimizes them.

But when we replace the media by a new image (larger in size) your plugin is not aware of the change. Is it possible to overcome this? Maybe if we restore the original images and use bulk compression all over again?

The plugin for image replacing is this:

    Thanks!

    Hi msdesignfoto,

You can restore the individual image before doing so then run either individual or bulk compression as bulk is “smart” in the way it will only run images that are “not compressed” that way you don’t have to restore all and re-compress all, only the ones you re-work.

Otherwise, we do strongly recommend using live mode for increased performance – and in this case you wouldn’t need to do anything in the plugin (other than possibly purge cache) when you re-upload images as it’s processed in real time based on the file you serve 🙂

I’ve made a note to explore further integration options with the plugin you mentioned and we do appreciate any feature requests on how we can help better the plugin for your specific needs!

There is a lot more to come with local mode, and I’m happy to help further however we can!

Ok I will explore the options you mentioned.
Meanwhile, I already uploaded a few images (not many) this way.

I have purged the cache but it still doesn’t see new images available to compress. I must be doing something wrong.. (or maybe not, its actually displaying new results for today in the stats screen after I purged te cache).

Cheers and thank you very much!

I can’t seem to restore single images, neither to compress only the ones I want. Are these features available only in the Pro version?
