Is there any way to add the ratings widget (nero – hand ratings) to both the the beginning and end of a post? Right now, we are limited to adding it either to the end or beginning of a post.

You could add the Javascript code for the rating in both places without going through the plugin. Write your own action that hooks on to the_content.
