Wait, reviews are meant to be used for people to vent their frustrations out.

introduce ratings on users
I don’t think that would be useful as the answer people provide is better than the “rating” the forum member obtains from other users. These aren’t those kind of social forums.
add a “mee too!” counter for support threads so that it is clear how common an issue is, without everyone having to create a new thread.
I don’t like that idea. Here’s why.
Too often other users have a problem and they’re able to match the symptom to some other post. Usually the problem is more complicated than that and unless the user has the same server, the same theme, the same plugins activated and the same PHP, PHP extensions, PECL extensions… you get the idea. 😉
The forum welcome asks people to start their own topics because it’s the best way to get support for your problem.
“Me too” replies only distractions from the original poster’s topic and often leads to people ignoring the person who originally had the problem. Hijacking someone else’s topic is considered rude for that reason.
You can subscribe to a topic without replying. That’s a link in the right sidebar of the topic.

There was a time that I’d been thinking a reputation system for users (up/down votes) would solve many problems with nonconstructive reviews in these boards. But, now I doubt it would work. The reason, as already mentioned, is that these forums operate more like an issue/support tracker than a community forum. There is nothing wrong with that, but, IMHO, a properly working user reputation system would require more user participation. So I think it would be easy for some parties to exploit it and it would end up being yet another problem than a solution.
