does ur ratings module allow for rating multiple categories? for example, if it was a restaurant listing could u rate the food, service and prices separately and then have an average calculated?
Currently, the Ratings module does not support this functionality. It’s really an overall rating that is allowed. Similar to how plugins are rated on WordPress.
is the ratings module encoded? i ask because im considering purchasing it to mod it to my needs…
No, we don’t encode the modules. You are free to modify the code after purchase.
but im a little spooked by ur no refund policy. considering ill need to make an unknown number of modifications, can u make an exception in case it becomes cost prohibitive for me?
For 2013, I will be updating the policy to allow refunds for 30 days, provided that you work with technical support for any issues that come up. Unfortunately, for custom modifications, that won’t help because if you start mucking with working code and it breaks, it’s hard for us to support that. We are a great fit for a lot of sites, but maybe not for everyone. Consider that it’s $50 and it would be very, very hard to write such a module on your own for the same cost. 🙂
i certainly dont disagree. im only concerned that after i buy it and my developer looks at it, he might say it would be easier to start from scratch to accomplish what i need. at that point, should it occur, i will have wasted $50.
if an exception cannot be made, perhaps my developer could discuss details with u ahead of time regarding how its written, etc to avert the situation outlined above?
