    Hello, A weird one here. I use Beaver Builder and when I insert an ICON module and enter in an email address as a MAILTO: with your plugin active the email address disappears from the page in a random manner. You can see this happening in the above URL. I have added a page of email address links to it but some are displayed and some are not visible even though the icon module has been duplicated.

    I contacted Beaver Builder support and they said if it’s possible to “Increase the filter hook priority that handles the encoding process” and “If so what is the code to be added to the Functions.php file”

    I hope you can answer this for me and let me know what I need for the code to put in the functions.php. I think your plugin is perfect but also need to add the icon module in Beaver Builder for email links etc.

    Hey @stryker56 – thank you for your message, as well as for the great info!
    I checked that issue on your site and the issue is indeed pretty strange.
    The plugin basically does its job correctly, but for some reason, the javascript breaks while decoding some of the components. I figured out that there are some unencoded characters in the string that our plugin wants to decode.

    Here an example of one of the broken URL’s: %27%a%9%9%9%9%9%9%3c%70%3e%74%65%73%74%40%74%65%73%74%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%70%3e%9%9%9%9%9%9%27

    this is how the encoded email looks. After decoding it, it looks like that:


    To make some further tests, I would need to debug that issue properly using the beaver builder directly.

    Now we have two possibilities:
    1. You can send us the beaver builder version (via our website support) you are currently using on our website
    2. We ask Beaver Builder to provide us a version we can use to debug that issue.

    Thankyou for your reply and investigation into this matter. I will try my best to give you the info you want but will contact Beaver Builder (who I contacted first regarding this issue) to check what I should do regarding supplying Beaver builder to you.

    I have 3 questions please,
    1) How do I login to your “Website support” if it’s decided to give you Beaver Builder via that method?
    2) I can give you full admin access into the website if you like but need a secure way of doing giving that info to you. Would having access give you all the info needed to debug it.
    3) Beaver Builder support mentioned that you might have some code that may “Increase the filter hook priority”. Is this not a possibility to try to see if it works or is this not an option at all?

    2. Access is not needed at this point since I know where the issue originates from.
    3. I think it’s not related to that, but I will give you more details after testing.

    I have just contacted you via your contact from and provided the link to the BB software you requested. They have confirmed it’s an issue on their testing server so hopefully you can determine what might be causing it.
