    Hey there,

I am trying to randomize the search listings each time the listings page is loaded or a filter is applied.

The problem is, neither [jobs orderby=rand show_filters=true], nor [jobs orderby=”rand” show_filters=true] are working. When I apply both of these shortcodes, no changes are made to the order in which listings are shown. Does anyone have any insight into why this is not producing the desired affect of randomizing the listings on this listings page?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I just checked and there is specific code for handling this, even when caching is enabled (is by default)

For example, if you make a different search query, it should then show them in a random different order.

You can also try using rand_featured as that’s another random handler.

Hey @tripflex thanks for the reply!

Could you give me a little guidance as to how to “make a different search query”?

Sorry, my understanding here is fairly basic, but I’m pretty good at navigating and exploring once I have a bit of a start.

Thanks, and hope to hear from you soon!

    Hey @nbacker

I checked your site and I see the random loading seems to be working fine. I take it you have managed to set it up correctly.

    Hey @bindlegirl,

Yeah I got it, but it was through FacetWP, rather than the page shortcode section.

    Thanks!
