    Hi

I’m a bit confused. I wanted to show 4 random pictures of all uploaded ones in the new WP text widget. I took this code, which works fine:
    [mla_gallery post_parent=all orderby=rand posts_per_page=4 columns=1]

It works fine, on 2 WP installations. But on 2 other ones, it doesn’t! Only the code itself is displayed in the widget.

Any idea? I assume, that it is not a MLA issue, but more a WP config issue. Any hint where to look?

    Thanks in advance
    Daniel

used the “MLA Text” widget instead. Never the less, a strange behavior…

    Daniel,

Thanks for your question and especially for finding and using the MLA Text Widget as an alternative to the new WordPress text widget. That would have been my first suggestion to solve the problem.

I have not yet experimented with the new WordPress Rich Text Widget. My first suspicion is some problem with the “Visual” view Vs the “Text” view. For the two sites that did not work, have a look using the “Text” view and make sure that special characters have not been converted to their HTML-encoded equivalent.

I will experiment with the Rich Text Widget, but I am leaving this topic Resolved. Thanks for your question, your solution and for your interest in the plugin.
