# Random option not working

 * I have set my custom related products to show ‘Random’ within the same category
   but it only shows the latest products added, albeit within the same category.
   I have tried clearing my cache and de-activating plugins to see if there is a
   clash but nothing works. Any ideas what the problem could be? I really want it
   to show random products within each category.

   the related products section isn’t displaying random products, despite setting
   the Sort by option to Random within the Same Category.
 * We’d like to inform you that we couldn’t replicate the same issue on our end.
   The related products displayed were a mix of both new and old products within
   the category, even after adding new products within a category.
 * To assist you further, could you please confirm whether you’ve specified any 
   products in the ‘Custom related product settings’ section on the product edit
   page of any product? Sometimes, manually adding related products in this ‘Linked
   products’ section may take priority over the settings provided in the plugin’s
   main settings page.

 * Thank you for your prompt reply. No I have not specified any products in the ‘
   Custom related product settings’ section, I have just the ‘categories’ option
   selected.

 * Thank you for your patience. We have reviewed the provided details, but despite
   our efforts, we were unable to replicate the issue on our end. The related products
   displayed were a mix of both new and old products within the category, even after
   adding new products.
 * However, we acknowledge that you have experienced the issue despite clearing 
   your cache and deactivating and activating the plugin. Please be assured that
   we appreciate your feedback and have taken the inconvenience you experienced 
   into account. We will work on improving the ‘Sort by Random’ option functionality
   in future releases of the plugin.
